Team Payton is excited to particpate in the Third Annual Lemon Run. We are so thankful for the continued support and thoughtfulness from our family and friends -that have helped make this event such a heartwarming sucess. Each and every year we are sincerely moved by the generosity and participation of our supporters and we look forward to seeing everyone again this year.
Some of you may already know about our special little Payton. She'll be 7 on 11/11/11 and is the sweetest, kindest, most amazing little girl, who has great aspirations to help others. Payton was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma when she was just 8 months old. The tumor was removed two weeks later with great success, removing 90+ %. This type of neuroblastoma is essentially cured by removal, and radiation and chemotherapy was not necessary. Doctors say that out of 650 cases per year that are diagnosed, only about 7 present this way. Paytons oncologist at CHOP says that her cancer coming back is "highly unlikely"-doesn't stop us from testing and worrying, but we realize how fortunate we are. Payton's little scar reminds us of this.
Through Alex's inspiring story and her parents dedication, doctors are making life changing breakthroughs everyday. We are thankful for them and all they have done for Payton and other children.
Words could never express the profound gratitude we have felt. We humbly ask that you consider joining us for the run/walk or simply donating to Team Payton and help us continue what Alex started.
