I am running races to raise money for pediatric cancer research and support for families with children in treatment.  I have choosen Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer because this charity has earned a four-star overall rating from Charity Navigator which ranks non-profits on their finances, control of administrative and fund-raising expenses, and transparency.  I am working on getting fit and wanted to do something that would have at least some small part in helping others. I will run faster knowing that my my strides will be connected to this charity.
