Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for Alex's Lemonade Stand! I'm hoping to reach two goals this fall - to run (and finish) the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon and to raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which is a special organization pursuing an important mission - a cure for all children with cancer.

Alex's Lemonade Stand funds cutting-edge research and provides financial assistance to families of children receiving cancer treatment. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan was to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure, and her first lemonade stand was wildly successful, raising $2,000 in one day. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. Alex's efforts and the foundation founded in her memory demonstrate that every person can make a difference.
