I just wanted to let everyone know that thanks to you I was able to hit my fundraising goal for Alex's Lemonade Stand by gettting pledges for the Philadelphia Marathon.

I ran the marathon wearing a lemon costume. See the photo below.

The weather was perfect the day of the race.  I was a little nervous for two reasones; first because I had never worn this costume before, let alone for 26 miles.  Secondly, because I have been having a problem with plantar fasciitis in my left foot for a couple of months.  My philosophy was simple, when the foot hurts just push through the pain, it is only 26 miles.  Perhaps not the smartest thing but it was my philosophy just the same.

The crowds lining the course were great and really loved the lemon costume.  I heard shouts of encouragement through out the day including; Go Lemon, Yeah Lemon, Awesome Lemon, Go Team Lemon, Mom, a lemon just ran by, and my favorite, hey lemon I want to squeeze you".  The comments definitely made the race go by quicker.

Well, I cut 34 minutes off my best time and finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes.  Next year, I will break 4 hours...
