My children and I learned about this through our homeschool program. My niece had Muscular Dystrophy and went to heaven at age 7 months. She was a strong and beautiful angel. While that isn't the same illness as cancer, we know others who have bravely battled different illnesses and we know what the effects can be of trying to keep up with treatments and costs, and the influence of these challenges in general. My brother was a cancer patient also. My mother makes a tree or other craft for the Festival Of Trees in Salt Lake City Utah every year, where the money raised goes to Primary Children's Hospital, where my niece Chelsea was treated. We like to help with these good causes any way we can, and we are so excited to find a great way to help here at Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Great job Alex for inspiring this cause.
