FIGHTING TIGERS FIGHT CANCER!!! My name is David Fields, and I am #29, a kicker for the Fighting Tigers football team.
My brother, Jerimy Fields, died from Epstein Barre Virus Lymphoma, a rare large B-cell cancer, on April 15, 2006, and he was only 14 years old. This was before I was born, so I never got to meet him. However, I have seen how this loss has affected my parents, and this is another way to share his story and keep his memory alive.
Jerimy was a Freshman in high school. He excelled at and loved to play soccer. He was a Boy Scout, and was only 2 merit badges and an Eagle project away from becoming an Eagle. At his showing, he became an Honoary Eagle Scout. He also loved the University of Kentucky basketball, loved going to games, and loved meeting some of the players. Even more, he loved and adored his baby sister, Megan, and he would have loved to be my big brother. a father, and an Uncle, but cancer took that away from him.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation helps pediatric cancer research, so I am dedicating my season to fighting childhood cancer and will be turning my stats into life-saving research dollars.
My goal is to have at least 50 PATs (point after touchdown) and field goal points this season, and raising $1,000.00, but I would love to exceed both of these goals!!!
You can pledge an amount per PAT's/field goal points or a set amount. Donations can be as little as $1.00, as EVERY dollar goes towards helping pediatric cancer research. Hopefully, as money continues to be donated, less people will loose their siblings, and less parents will loose their children, as no parent should have to bury their child.
Thank you for your support as THE FIGHTING TIGERS FIGHT to win each game and help to FIGHT PEDIATRIC CANCER!!!
