When
In April of 2022 our son James was diagnosed with Bilateral retinoblastoma, at just 7 months old. Throughout that summer James received multiple rounds of intra arterial chemotherapy, needed multiple blood transfusions and was admitted multiple times for neutropenic fevers. Since his last treatment in January of '23, James is thriving! He is an active, truck loving little boy. We are continuing to learn more and more each day about his vision as he explores his world. We will continue to travel to Cincinnati to have eye exams under anesthesia every three months and an MRI every 6 months to monitor for any changes in his calcified tumors.
Childhood cancer research is vastly under funded in the United States and we need your help for this to change! This year our fundraiser for the Foresight Fund for Retinoblastoma Research will look a little different. We will be participating in The Million Mile in September, through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. We are asking our friends and family to join or team or make a donation and log virtual miles of walking, running or biking. At the end of the month we will plan an in person walk/celebration for everyone on our team!
Thank you for your support during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
