Hi, My name is Philip Omkar, I am two years old. I love cars, playing in the park, reading books, grocery shopping, counting numbers, drawing on paper and walls, bubble baths and participating in fun activities with my family and friends. I did not get to meet my aunt Kali, but mom and dad tell me that Kali loved kids and always wished good health for everyone she met. In her memory, I'm holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation by hosting my first lemonade stand with the help of my family on September 28, 2024!
Mom and dad say it is a good deed to support finding a cure for all children with cancer, because everyone deserves to live a long healthy life. Especially kids, because like me, all kids need to have fun playing with cars, reading books, playing in the park, and making new friends and not be worried about being sick or going to the hospital. My aunt Sruthi, uncle Richard and grandparents are helping me plan this event and I think it is going to be both fun and purposeful. I would love for you to join me in planning this event, attending my event, donating right to this page, or sharing about this with others. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. I am excited because I will get to meet my friends, family and make new friends while also raising awareness about an important cause. I hope you will join me in-person or virtually to show your support to let kids and their families know that they aren't alone in their fight against cancer.
Why Alex’s lemonade stand?
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric research projects across the globe and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer.
Thanks for your support!
