About John Koch
In loving memory August 10, 1949 - December 16, 2022 John “Jack” M. Koch, 73 of Quakertown, PA passed on December 16, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with illness.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Frederick J. and Mary A. (nee Gallagher) Koch. Jack was the 2nd eldest of 13 children and raised in Abington, where he graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School. He went to Taylor Business School and attended Penn State University. He spent his career in sales in the kitchen and bath industry. He enjoyed travel and tennis and was a culinary magician and an avid history buff. Early in his retirement, he volunteered for the local Food Pantry and shelter.
Jack was the beloved and doting husband of Kathleen A. (nee Celia) for over 52 years and the father of Christina Wallitsch (Jon) and Stefanie. He was cherished Poppy of Samantha and Benjamin Wallitsch and is survived by 3 brothers and 8 sisters Fred (Joan), Paul, Mary Anne Smith, Madelyn Dombrow (Roy), Eileen Deravedissian, Diane Lauro (Pete), Joseph (Maureen), Elizabeth Alexander (Bill), Carol Cashman (Mike), Patricia Hause (Joel) and Janet Leo (Vince) and was predeceased by his late brother Robert and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Alex's Lemonade Foundation.
