PA AEDP x Alex's Lemonade Stand - Virtual 5K

This winter, we will be supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand through a virtual 5K and corresponding fundraising events.  Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a Foundation whose mission is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to cure childhood cancer. 

The PA AEDP will be raising money to fund research for childhood cancer by hosting a virtual 5K on the weekend of December 11^th – 13^th.  We ask that runners donate $30 to participate in the race, although any amount of donation will be accepted.  Our goal is to raise $1,000 through a combination of personal donations and company matching, so come out and help us reach our goal!  Please see below for more information.

Race Information

Since this is a virtual 5K, you can run your race any time between Friday, December 11^th and Sunday, December 13^th.  We will be crowning three winning individuals in the following award categories:

• Best time –  take this opportunity to show off your running talent.  Submit a screenshot of your race time to be entered.
• Best costume – get in the holiday spirit by dressing up in your most festive attire!  Don’t forget to submit a picture to be entered.
• Most creative run – think biking, rollerblading, taking an interesting route, or anything else to spice up your 5K.

Either way, we encourage people to send in pictures to Sabrina Abesamis and Ali Lamberti, or to post on this page, so that we can share race updates with the community on our fundraising page.  Happy racing!
