Great job Aiden! Thanks for your outstanding effort
I am a 17-year-old senior at Maine South High School who joined the football team as a kicker my freshman year. I never played before but I watched my brother Sean play offensive line for four years. He encouraged me to join football at Maine South, as it's rated the #1 football program in the state and he said I'd never regret the experience. Coach Inserra has taught me to set goals and then work hard to accomplish them. He has shown all of us how important it is to give back because we are fortunate to have opportunities to use our talents, and that we can make a difference. I'm holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer. I’ll be dedicating my season to kids with cancer by turning my stats into life-saving research dollars.
I'm fortunate that my family is healthy, but I know about cancer and I know of people that have had cancer. Who really affected my decision to do this is a little boy by the name of Benji, who my mom has talked to me about. He is a grandson of a friend who works with her at Luthern General Hospital. Benji was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and has been fighting ever since. He has raised money to help fight cancer himself. So if this kid, who spends his days with chemo and not feeling good and not being able to do the things that I can do, can take the time to help others, then so can I. That's a big motivator for me.
Please make a donation or pledge of any amount toward my fundraising goal. No amount is too small. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Every time I kick that football this season, please know that I am determined to give it my all! I hope by bringing awareness of cancer research will help raise the funds we need to find a cure and kick cancer to the curb for good! Thanks for your support!
