Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research.
We are carrying on Alex's inspiring legacy by raising money to fight childhood cancer. Please stop by our lemonade stand at Alumni Park across from Mr. G's Ice Cream on Baltimore Street Friday, July 6th and Saturday, July 7th between 12- 6pm.
Caton & Jared started their first stand in 2005, the summer before they started Kindergarten. This summer, as they prepare to head to college, Josh and Natalee are ensuring that both the tradition and the fight to end childhood cancer continue in Gettysburg, one cup at a time.
As Alex's life showed, our small contributions can make a big impact. Thank you!
You can make a donation in person at our lemonade stand on Friday, July 6th and Saturday, July 7th. We can also accept donations by mail. Checks should be made out to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and mailed to the Herr's at 130 Friendship Lane Gettysburg PA 17325 or given to Natalee, Josh, Caton or Jared in person.
You can also make a donation online through the yellow DONATE button.
