Hi there! My name is Beth! This all started when our family & friends planned a trip to Disney to celebrate our daughters' 5th birthdays. The friends we are going with asked me about signing up to run in some of the events. Now, it's been forever since I've actually run let alone run any kind of race! I decided to take on the challenge and literally take on "The Challenge" with the 1/2 & 10K. When I saw that there were different charities to run for, the very first one I saw was Alex's Lemonade Stand. I knew right then and there this was the one I needed to do! You see, this past school year (I'm a Kindergarten Teacher) I was given the opportunity to meet an incredibly amazing family! When we were creating classes at the beginning of the school year, the nurse sat down with the 5 of us and shared information about one of the students having Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. My K-team wasn't really sure how I'd do if he ended up being in my classroom. (I'm quite the sensitive one) When I found out that Liam was assigned to Room 201 I felt so blessed that I was given the opportunity to be a part of his journey! We were able to celebrate his End of Chemo Day on March 23rd. We were all so excited for Liam! Meeting the McNevin's has truly changed my life and I cannot wait to honor sweet Liam!
