In honor of Alex's Lemonade Stand and the efforts they make towards Childhood cancer research, I will be running for Team Lemon in the Disney Princess Half Marathon. Childhood cancer is an extremely prevalent issue. Unfortunately, childhood cancer research and treatments are still grossly underfunded. Every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's about 700 new kids affected every day. Yet less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers. Please help funding for research and treatments by donating to this fund in any way possible. Every little bit helps towards making huge strides to fund childhood cancer treatments and research.
