Couple of months ago I watched a video on Facebook. A video, which broke my heart and opened my eyes. It was a video posted by a mom of a little boy – Baby Mason – who lost his battle with childhood cancer. I knew before that kids get sick, we all know that. But this specific post made me want to help. And never mind how much I wanted to stop thinking about it and continue living in my happy bubble, I could not. Instead I started to think more and more about the number of children who become victims of this horrible disease, and about ways to help. How can I contribute and make a difference? How can I make others open their eyes to this matter by spreading awareness around childhood cancer?

So I researched, and read articles, and did more research. And I came across Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation - nation and Canada wide organization helping the victims of childhood cancer and their families, and sponsoring research to find the cure and better ways to treat this disease.

Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research.

No Gravity Studio is carrying on Alex's inspiring legacy by raising money to fight childhood cancer. Instead of doing it one lemonade cup at a time, we are doing it one photo at a time. Between November 1, 2015 and January 15, 2016 60% of the value of any purchased photo session with No Gravity Studio will be donated to Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation to sponsor research, and photo sessions for families affected by childhood cancer in Katy and the Houston/Metro areas
