Welcome to team Alex's Legacy!  

On team Alex's Legacy we have two goals:  #1 Have Fun!  #2 Raise lots of money!  

Our first event was a tremendous success.  Our Preakness Party raised $200 for childhood cancer research. 

On Monday, July 6th we climbed Mount Marcy, the tallest peak in the Adirondack Mountains and highest point in New York State at 5,343 feet!  I know, it’s not Mt. Everest, but it’s still a long and challenging climb.

On Saturday, July 18th our Lemonade Stand at the Delaware Handicap at Delaware Park raised $1075!

On Saturday, August 29th we were at the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga, NY and we raised $56!  Great job for just a collection bucket on our table.  Our Saratoga Crew rocks, love you guys!

On Saturday, September 19th our Lemonade Stand at the Pennsylvania Derby at Parx Racing & Casino in Bensalem, PA raised $1006.63!

I think that will bring an end to our planned fundraising events.  We have $1,000 coming from Elsevier in October and I plan to donate the PA Derby money during our Volvo match, so that will get us close to our goal.  

As of  September 29th we have officially reached our team fundraising goal!  Please please keep working toward your personal mileage and fundraising goals.
