Hi Friends - I have been fundraising on behalf of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation from its early days. I am fortunate - and deeply appreciative - that I have not had a personal connection in my own family with childhood cancer. However, when I think of how friends and family have suffered from and fought various cancers, it is literally inconceivable how unreal it must be to watch a child fighting that fight. So this year, instead of running a race I have chosen to volunteer my time at the Lemon Ball, ALSF's annual fundraising gala and auction on Saturday, January 10th. I'll be there for at least 4 1/2 hours (shorter than any marathon I've ever run!), but thought to myself - why only volunteer my time when I can also use my voice to raise funds at the same time? I am asking you, my friends and family, to consider making a donation to my "virtual lemonade stand" to support not only my volunteer effort, but also to help fight childhood cancer, one cup at a time.
