Hello,
Thank you for coming to our Team Judith page.
As many know, our daughter Mary Judith was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. Despite its severity, and due to its rarity, childhood cancer research is poorly funded; furthermore, it often affects young families with few financial resources. While our family’s prognosis is good, that is not the case for many at the children's hospital.
This September, I will ride my bike to work daily (12-mile round trip, 300 miles in total) and Shannon and Judith will visit the local church daily (1-mile round trip, 30 miles in total), in hopes that our friends will donate to this wonderful charity that truly saves the lives of young children.
We hope you too will join and propagate Team Judith to help this most important cause!
Peace,
Andrew, Shannon & Judith Palaia
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric research projects across the globe and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer.
