As most of you know this year my 50th birthday is (July 19^th). Last year this time I was dreaming and making all the plans for my 50th birthday year . Who knew that so much would change so quickly and we would be living in a pandemic.

Disney Princess weekend 2021 I had planned as part of my year- long 50th birthday celebration to run all 3 races (5K, 10K, half marathon ) back to back but on registration day I did not get in and I was devastated-I cried and cried and cried some more. Thankfully I got accepted by Alex’s Lemonade Stand (ALSF) for the half marathon (13.2 miles)... I ran my first half marathon in 2017 because someone "dared me" so I took on the challenge and have successfully completed four half marathons, 2021 will be my fifth.

So my dear friends 2020 is teaching me to "TRUST THE PROCESS" and although I will not be to doing what I had planned for my birthday I do know how truly blessed I am to be alive LIVING MY BEST life and getting ready to start the next chapter. Therefore, instead of presents for my birthday I am asking my family and friends to consider supporting me in raising money to help fight childhood cancer. ALSF is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization and all monies donated goes towards funding research that brings better treatments and cures to children with cancer. ALSF also provides emotional, financial and logistical support to childhood cancer families that makes their challenges more manageable. My goal is to raise $5000 for my 50^th birthday so please consider me for your donations.  All donations are tax deductible.
