On a hot day in early June of 2007, my friends, neighbors, family and I rallied together to raise much needed funds for pediatric cancer research. Here you will find some pictures of the event. In this three day weekend, we raised over 4,000.00! Not too shabby for our first event. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Chris' mom
On a warm, sunny day in May 2009, we hosted our third annual lemonade stand in loving memory of our son Chris. This stand was bigger than ever! We had Chick Fil-A here with their "everyone wins" prize wheel, disc jockey Dan Smith who donates his entertainment for this cause every year, Susie The Clown, Face Painting, lots of raffles to include 8 tickets to Richmond International Speedway for Indy and Sprint car racing including a meet and greet with the drivers, a bake sale, candy provided by www.sugarstand.com, a game area for kids with basket ball, lemon toss and a moon bounce! There was much fun to be had. Chick Fil-A's cow mascot came wearing the red jersey that stated "EAT MORE CHICKIN" at the same time a chicken mascot arrived from Wata-Wing, another local restaraunt! It was fabulous! They did a little dance and the chicken drove off. About 20 minutes later, the chicken returned only this time with a second chicken! He must have felt like he needed back-up. It couldn't have been a better day for all the activities. All day long, all I could see were smiles and all I heard was laughter and lively music to include Alex's Lemonade theme song throughout the day. Surpassing our goal of $3,500.00, we raised over $3,600.00 for pediatric cancer research! I call that a job well done.
