Welcome!! We are so excited to be able to participate this year. Alex's story hit me in the feels from the very first time reading her book. As an adult whose parents were told I had a very slim chance of survival as an infant from the surgery to remove my tumor not to mention the battle that usually is there for neuroblastoma patients, it is so very hard for me to learn of other children who didn't get a chance at living their life. I first started to understand the devastation of childhood cancer in my early teens when I did a research project for school about neuroblastoma. I had no idea the statistics that I was about to uncover. As every birthday of mine passes, I continuously pray for a time when the rates change in favor of the child who is battling neuroblastoma and they are able to have more days to play.
