Here's
what researchers are saying about grants from Alex's Lemonade
Stand Foundation:
"These
grants are filling an incredibly important void at a time of
significantly reduced funding through the National Cancer Institute.
It is my firm belief that the research funded by ALSF will translate
into significant advances towards finding a cure for a variety
of childhood cancers."
~ John M. Maris, MD,
Pediatric Oncologist for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
“Alex’s
Lemonade Stand Foundation has provided critically needed funding
to some of our most talented and innovative childhood cancer
researchers. This has helped us rapidly translate laboratory
breakthroughs into new therapies for our young patients. The
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Grants Program is helping
researchers throughout the country move closer to the day when
cure is a reality for all children with cancer.”
~ David G. Poplack, MD
Director, Texas Children’s
Cancer Center

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation ...
Making a difference, one cup at a time!
We are unique in our approach to funding childhood cancer research --
we work directly with doctors, researchers, and nurses to identify the
specific challenges they face in bringing new treatments to children with
cancer.
Grants distributed from Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation are designed
to fill the critical gaps in funding as identified by doctors and researchers
across the country. Careful distribution of our grants has allowed
doctors and nurses to bring the latest and most promising life saving
treatments to seriously ill children.
The result -- bringing hope to childhood cancer patients now and in the
future. Alex's simple belief that she could make a difference with lemonade
has surely paid off for children with cancer and their families.
TO DATE, ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND HAS FUNDED OVER 50 RESEARCH PROJECTS AT 30 INSTITUTIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY!
Your Donation
Matters -- here’s how...
The process of developing a new treatment and bringing it to young cancer victims is a complex and time consuming process. This long process is designed to test both the safety of the treatment for children and of course, how well a treatment will work as a potential cure for childhood cancers.
Our medical research grants are designed to test the latest ideas and increase access to new treatments for children with cancer across the country. In addition, our nursing grants are designed to explore practical ways to improve the quality of life and care of children with cancer.
The good news is that childhood cancer researchers across the country who work tirelessly to develop new and better ways to help children with cancer are also very committed to sharing their ideas and treatments with each other. This means that a cure or better way of treating children with cancer found in one place will benefit children with cancer everywhere!
Add this all up and be proud that your donations are truly making a difference for children with cancer everywhere
