Past Student Leadership Academies
In July of 2014, almost 60 high school juniors, seniors and college freshmen from across the country descended upon Villanova University to learn key leadership skills and how to become ambassadors in their own communities for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. As part of ALSF’s 2014 Student Leadership Academy, these teens from across the country worked on a variety of projects including hosting their own lemonade stand and creating a community outreach idea to bring back to their hometown and schools.
The Leadership Academy class of 2014 received straight “A’s” in our books showing an enormous amount of energy, creativity and inspiration!
Highlights included:
- Team building activities centered on specific components of leadership.
- Holding lemonade stands that raised more than $10,000!
- Guest speakers who were directly impacted by childhood cancer, including Liz and Jay Scott, Alex’s parents
