The Alexandra Scott
Butterfly Award for kids 16 and under!
The Vote Is In!
Online Ballot Decides This Year’s Butterfly Award Finalists
Congratulations to Zach Bonner, Rocco Fiorentino and Dallas Jessup – the three incredible kids elected as the finalists for this year’s Alexandra Scott Butterfly Award! These three kids are doing things like teaching self-defense, walking miles to raise money for homeless children, and advocating for Braille education. All will receive at least $10,000…and one will be selected for a $25,000 contribution from Volvo.
The Butterfly Award is part of the Volvo for life Awards, an annual initiative that recognizes real-life heroes in Safety, Quality of Life and the Environment with nearly $1 million in awards and contributions each year. In 2003, Alex became the first child hero of the Volvo for life Awards – and Volvo created the Butterfly Award in her honor. Each year, this award is given to an amazing child 16 or under who, like Alex, helps make the world a better place.
This year, for the first time ever, Volvo asked the American public to help select the Butterfly Award finalists through an online vote. Now our family, together with Volvo, is in the process of selecting the winner from these finalists. Please visit www.volvoforlifeawards.com to read all the finalists’ stories, and stay tuned to find out which amazing child will receive this year’s Butterfly Award!
